Title : Lithium ferrite for photo catalytic dye degradation

Lithium ferrites like Li-Zn, Li-Ni, Li-Zn-Ni, Li-Cu, Li-Co has been prepared by Sol-gel auto combustion method. Annealing these prepared samples at different temperatures produces single phase spinel cubic ferrrites with the particle size of about 10 nm. X-ray diffraction, FT-IR studies confirms formation of crystal structure. UV VISIBLE absorption studies shows band gap in the visible and UV regions. Various dye degradation studies were carried out in UV visible range. Degradation efficiency of about 92% has been found.
